Andrew is an accomplished composer, producer, and musician. He has composed the music for several award-winning BBC series, composed music for adverts by Nike and Canon, and had something on television, somewhere in the world, every week for the last 20 years.
He is an all-round audio specialist which includes audio branding, restoration, enhancement, and audio forensics.
A bass player by trade, he was signed by Miles Copeland and released two albums under the name Zohar, one on Universal International, the other on MAC3 Artists.
Andrew currently releases music under the name Domax, with Max O’Donnell, guitarist from The Streets on Def Presse Records. Distribution is through Republic Of Music. Domax is part of the Holy Shift collective and has a residency in Berlin in addition to upcoming gigs in Ibiza.
He has written, performed, or recorded with Narada Michael Walden, Richard Horowitz, David Toop, Paul Schutze, Jamiroquai, Incognito, Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Brown, Terry Callier, Khaled and Shirley Bassey.
Other work has included the audio branding for companies such as Black Rock and The Brunswick Group and composition and sound design for games, including Guitar Hero and Little Big Planet 3. He has more recently undertaken forensic audio and restoration work for the Home Office and ACE/Vivace and composed the music for the Home Office’s ‘Deepfake’ and ‘Safer Streets’ campaigns.
Andrew lectured at Surrey University for 10 years which included writing, delivering, and marking his own modules for the undergraduate music degree program. He was also on the bass faculty at London Music School. Private students have included Dave Parsons (Bush) and Liran Donin (Led Bib/Polar Bear). He has been called on to speak at conferences and deliver workshops covering a wide range of topics. Andrew was an elected member of the Media Executive at BASCA for five years and a PCAM Committee Member. He currently lectures at Point Blank Music School and has recently joined the steering committee for the London Chapter of the SCL.
He is a recipient of the World Music Peace Award and has been nominated for an Ivor Novello Award.
